CS Executive

CS Executive

The second difficult level that a student must pass to become a CS Professional is called CS Executive. The CS Executive and CS Professional Exams will follow the New Syllabus, with a total of eight papers for the CS Executive Programme, as per ICSI Notification No. 01 of 2018. The subjects covered in each of the two modules—Module 1 and Module 2—that comprise these eight papers are listed below.

Module 1 –

1. Jurisprudence, Interpretation & General Laws
2. Company Law
3. Setting up of Business Entities and Closure
4. Tax Laws

Module 2-

5. Corporate and Management Accounting
6. Securities Laws & Capital Markets
7. Economic, Business and Commercial Laws
8. Financial and Strategic Management

It is however pertinent to mention that Paper 4 of Module 1 ie Tax Laws along with Paper 5 of Module 2 ie Corporate and Management Accounting and Paper 8 of Module 2 ie Financial and Strategic Management are objective type papers, carrying 100 marks each but however there would be a negative marking of 0.25 ie ¼ mark for each question that is incorrectly answered.

Also a candidate shall be declared as pass either in one or both the CS Executive modules in case he obtains a minimum of 40% in each paper and an overall aggregate of 50% in all the papers of either Module 1/ Module 2 or both.

The ICSI further exempts a student to reappear in a paper(s) in case he secures 60% or above in that subject(s), albeit he is unable to clear the group.

The revised fee ie required for registering in CS Executive Course is Rs. 10600 for all students who have cleared either the CSEET Exam or the erstwhile CS Foundation Exam but the fee ie to be paid by the CA Final / CMA Final qualified candidates is Rs15600, and in addition to this, the candidates have to pay an additional exam fee of Rs1200 for each of the modules, ie Rs. 2400 in all, for both the modules and in case a student clears both Module 1 and 2 of the wide-ranging CS Executive Course, he would be then eligible for appearing in the CS Professional Exam.
